Well, I'd like to say "I'm back", but that's the exact same thing I did over a year ago - and it was incorrect. I made a whole new journal entry about being back, going active again, but after a few weeks, I lost interest and logged off again. This time for more than a year. Why? Well, I was "back" in the mood for taking photographies, but I didn't have a camera of my own available, so it got boring quite quickly. Seeing all these great motiefs which could've been tremendous pictures going to waste made me depressed, so I stopped looking for such things. And I stopped logging on here...

Time passed, forgot about photography for a while, just visited DA now and then (mostly to check up on some of the people I've met here). Anyways, a while back I was in London and my brother-in-law had his camera with him. Not anything fancy, a pretty cheap SLR, but he lend it to me for a day, and I got hooked again. I shot pictures of everything. Got the good feeling of serenity (yes, I love clichés, but not sure how to explain) in me when I had the camera in my hands, and it felt good checking out the results when I got back to the hotel.

After a while, I started saving up pieces of my sallary for... different things. Started shooting more pictures when I had a camera around, but didn't do too much with them, just left them on whomever's camera I was using. When I checked my bank account not too long ago, I realized I had managed to save up a considerable sum. So, I decided to check out what I had to pay to get a decent camera which I could use for years to come, and I found out that I could afford it. So, now I'm the proud owner of a Canon EOD 30D and I'm feeling the urge to run around, being a general pain in the arse and shooting everything I see.

Hopefully, spending as much money as I just did on the camera, will prevent me from doing what I always seem to do with things I like; move on.

I'd like to promise hundreds and thousands of pictures in here, with several prints and all that comes with, but I think I'll just notify those who cares that I've managed to grab a hold of some good gear, and that I'm feeling the urge. Now, time will show what I'll do with it. Hopefully something good...
